Non-regulated providers do not have
a regulatory body to answer to and therefore they have no legal obligation to employ their carers, which means that the person receiving care is responsible for their wages, insurance, and other paperwork or compliance.
The Good Care Group
The Good Care Group is a national provider of live-in care, providing live-in care to older adults across England and Scotland and hourly care services in London. We specialise in dementia care, as well as Parkinson’s and end-of-life care.
As a regulated provider, we employ, train and supervise all of our professional care staff, offering leading employment packages, which in turn ensures greater continuity of care for our clients. We
are rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission in all five inspection categories - one of less than 1% of providers to reach this status. We are rated ‘Excellent’ for carer and support for our service in Scotland.
Dedicated to improving health outcomes for all, The Good Care Group routinely monitors all clients’ health and well-being by using innovative technology, as well as carers applying due diligence. We know, for example, that urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a common cause for hospital admissions for older adults, so we ensure every household we provide care in is equipped with a urine testing kit that our carers are trained to use. When UTI kits are used clients are 50% less
likely to be admitted to hospital2. With REFERENCES
robust strategies to avoid pressure ulcers including referral for specialist equipment, regular turning and repositioning, exercise routines and management of nutrition and hydration needs, a client is up to 28 times less likely to develop a pressure sore than they would be in a nursing home3.
With an Occupational Therapist and a Consultant Admiral Nurse on our team we are also able to preventatively avoid falls, and to reduce reliance on antipsychotic medication for those living with dementia.
Our expertise allows us to provide care and support services for people living with a variety of more complex needs, from rehabilitative hospital discharge to end of life care.
