The IDF has close links with the British Medical Association, where we are represented on its Private Practice Committee. We also collaborate with key organisations such as the Care Quality Commission, the Department of Health, the Royal Colleges, private health insurers, and private hospital providers. These relationships enable us to effectively represent our members and advocate on their behalf in the broader healthcare landscape.

As a Designated Body, the IDF offers a highly regarded appraisal scheme which is recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC). This service ensures our members meet the highest regulatory standards and continue to develop professionally.
